Our team played their second summer friendly game behind closed gates against FC Ajka, who finished ninth in the NB II last season. Michael Boris sent out the starting eleven of Kovács D. - Kojnok, Lüftner, Shabanov, Heister - Pinto, Dárdai - Funsho, Bumba, Csoboth - Babos, and our midfielder Claudiu Bumba, who was signed last Friday, made his first appearance in a Vidi shirt.

The visitors started more actively, in the 8th minute Kenderes' shot and Szarka's attempt on the rebound threatened Kovács' goal. Then in the first quarter of an hour, Jagodics headed over after two corners, both times. In the 17th minute, our striker Babos, who scored in the 5-0 win over Dunaújváros, headed in from the left, but goalkeeper Horváth saved. In the 19th minute both Funsho's cross and the 38th minute Bumba shot were saved by the visitors' goalkeeper. In the 43rd minute, Funsho's shot from the right from 21 metres out, which went inches over the top right corner, and two minutes later Babos shot from the sixteen-yard line, the Ajka goalkeeper saved to the bottom right and Lüftner's header missed the target to close the first half.

At the break, our head coach made six changes, and the second half started very well, we scored twice in ten minutes against the team in green, who also had several fresh players on the pitch. Although the first danger came in front of our goal when Dániel Kovács tipped a long-range shot on to the post, in the 54th minute István Kovács crossed from the right after Funsho won the ball and Lednev shot into the net (1-0). Two minutes later, Makarenko spun the ball left to Heister, who made no mistake (2-0). In the 73rd minute, Lednev's free-kick was saved by the Ajka goalkeeper, and the Ukrainian midfielder threatened again from the ensuing corner, his shot missing the bottom right corner. In the last ten minutes, Dragóner had a great chance for the visitors, but he shot over from close range, while at the other end Lednev headed over from the edge of the box.

The score remained 2-0, our team won its second summer preparation match without conceding a goal. The next match will be next Wednesday, against Fenerbahce from Turkey at the training camp in Austria.
