We are pleased to announce our first summer signing. Georgian striker Budu Zivzivadze has joined our club.

Budu Zivzivadze was born on the 10th March 1994 in Kutaisi. At the age of 18, he began his professional career in his home country with Dinamo Tbilisi. In 2015, he signed for Torpedo Kutaisi, and the following season he won the Georgian league title and also celebrated being top goalscorer. He moved to Esbjerg in Denmark in 2017, but was given few opportunities to play there, so he returned home in 2018 and continued his career on loan at his first professional club, Dinamo Tbilisi. He was once again top league goalscorer in Georgia. In 2019, he played 18 matches for Torpedo Kutaisi, and last summer he joined Mezokovesd Zsory FC. He was on target 8 times in 32 matches in the NB I, making him the top league goal scorer for Mezokovesd.

"Two years ago, in a Europa League qualifying match between DAC and Dinamo Tbilisi, we noticed Budu, who had a very good match and he also scored a goal. Last season, we were able to continue our observation "up close", as he was one of the strengths for Mezokovesd. He is a strong, fast, skilled footballer who is very efficient in multiple formations. He has features that gives our squad options for other styles of play. We have been strengthened by a goal-scoring football player of perfect age with international experience, who is also at the forefront of creating goal situations. I am sure that he will be of great use to Vidi" - said Zoltan Kovacs, Director of Football.

"I am very pleased to have joined a club like this and continue my playing career here with Vidi. I have already celebrated winning a league title win in Georgia and was twice top league goalscorer. I will not deny that I have arrived here at Vidi with similar targets. I really enjoy scoring goals but the main thing is the success of the team. I hope that I can contribute by playing well and scoring goals and also providing assists. I want to help make Vidi as successful as possible and want to be celebrating the league title and Hungarian Cup in a year's time. I also want us to go as far as we can in European competition" - commented new signing Budu Zivzivadze.
