The 2019/2020 season so far: November

We continue to look back on the current league season and the month of November.

Another busy month of games that included five in total. The first of which was a high scoring six goal thriller away at ZTE. Vidi travelled west on the second day of the month to face a team in the bottom two in the league table. Two goals from Bobal gave the home side a 2-0 lead at the break. In a game of twists and turns, Vidi scored three times in the second half to turn the game around and lead. However, they would concede an injury time goal to drop two important points. Vidi's second half goals came from Nego, Hodzic and Futacs.

Next up was a trip to bottom side Kaposvar. It proved to be a comfortable win for the team from Fehervar. Milanov scored early on after 4 minutes and that was later further extended with a goal from Futacs. It was the first time that Vidi had played in Kaposvar for six years. Their opponents had recently been promoted from the third division to the first in successive seasons. Kaposvar were reduced to ten men following a sending off and that made it a more comfortable game for the visitors. Three important points were taken back to Szekesfehervar.

It was back to Hungarian Cup action in the third game of the month. A visit to Budaors presented a challenge for Vidi. However, they would have no such problems as they hit six goals to comfortably make it through to the next round. Goals from Zsori (2), Halmai (2), Hangya and Futacs secured the good win. Vidi led 1-0 at half time but proved too strong in the second half as they scored five more.

It was a bad day at the office on the 23rd November. The Puskas Academy visited the MOL Arena Sosto and they would come away with all three points. The visitors had led 3-0 unti the final minute when Roland Juhasz scored a consolation goal. Former Vidi winger Adam Gyurcso scored twice for the visiting side. That kept Vidi in second place behind leaders Ferencvaros.

Vidi had a new manager in place by the time they faced DVTK. Former manager Joan Carrillo replace Marko Nikolic in the hot seat. Carrillo had previously guided Vidi to the league title success and the club were looking for similar things this time around. MOL Fehervar FC would end the month of November with a good away win in Miskolc. Opponents DVTK had started to show signs of improvement and playing them away is never an easy match. Stopira settled the nerves early on with a goal and that made things easier. Although Bacsa levelled at the end of the first half, further goals from Kovacs and Nikolov made the final scoreline 3-1. The three important points keeping the pressure on top of the table FTC. It was also a very good start and 3 points for Spaniard Joan Carrillo.
