Marko Nikolic made his debut on the Vidi bench on the 19th June 2017 in a game against Maltese side Balzan FC in the EL qualifier. His first game in charge went very well and a good 2-0 win with goals from Scepovic and Lazovic. His first six matches saw Vidi remain unbeaten and French side FC Girondins Bordeaux were the first to beat the red and blues in France. However, the return leg went well and Vidi went through. The EL play off's brought him against his former side Partizan and a 0-0 first leg draw in Belgrade. The return leg ended in a 4-0 defeat and that has remained the biggest defeat under his management. 

Marko Nikolic has won 56 games in charge of Vidi. There have been 24 draws and 20 defeats with a goal difference of 169-94. His longest unbeaten run started this spring on the 9th February and ended on the 20th April. That saw a run of 13 games without defeat and 12 wins during that run. There was also a drawn game in between. There was three consecutive losses from 29th November 2017 until the 9th December 2017.

"As I said during my press conference against Haladas, I am naturally delighted and proud to have managed my 100th game in charge. My most memorable match out of the 100? Fortunately I have many games to pick from so I could not pick one out now. The league match against Honved is one that I cannot forget when we won the league title. I could also choose from several games in the EL. There were wins over Malmö and Ludogorets or the big league wins over Ferencvaros. However, that is not important now and what happened in the past. Now we need to win our 101st match and that would mean ending the season with a cup win" - commented Marko Nikolic. 

There have been 66 NB I league games under Marko Nikolic. They have produced 38 wins, 15 draws and 13 defeats with 118 goals scored and 65 going in at the other end. 

The manager has been in charge of 22 games in Europe with Vidi winning 7, drawing 9 and losing 6 times with 23 goals scored and conceded. 

Marko Nikolic has seen his side win by four goals in several games. There were five matches that produced 4-0 wins: Paks - Vidi 0-4, Vidi - Kisvarda 4-0, Vidi - Mezokovesd 4-0, FC Dabas - Vidi 0-4 and Mohacs - Vidi 0-4.) The biggest defeat was the already mentioned 4-0 loss to Partizan. The game with most goals came on the 18th November 2017 and a 5-2 win away at Debrecen. 

We have left the most impressive stats to the end for Marko Nikolic. They have been in the Hungarian Cup with him in charge of Vidi. The 12 games in the Hungarian Cup have produced 11 wins and only one defeat since 2017. The goal difference reads 28-6.

Although the game with Haladas was Marko's 100th in charge, there have been 99 matches that he has sat on the bench. The only one that saw him missing was the Hungarian Cup semi-final against Debrecen so the Hungarian Cup final on the 25th May 2019 against Honved will see him for the 100th time on the bench.
